On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I welcome you to the 3rd Sabah Mental Health Conference organized by Hospital Mesra Bukit Padang, Sabah State Health Department, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysian Medical Association (Sabah Branch), and Badan Kebajikan Psikiatri Sabah. The theme of the conference “Mental Health: Meeting Future Challenges” will address many important issues pertaining to mental health and psychiatry facing us today and the need to prepare for the future particularly in the wake of the recent Tsunami disaster that affect Asia and also our country. It is hoped that this conference will provide a viable platform to further enhance networking and collaboration between mental health professionals and organizations for our future development and progress.
